Dream Bars
Makes ~ 12 bars
Crust
Bars
- 1/2 c. butter
- 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
- 1 c. cake flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. walnuts
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. shredded coconut
Blend crust ingredient together, then spread into an 8 x 12-inch pan. Bake crust for 30 minutes at 350o. Beat eggs, brown sugar and flour. Add remaining ingredients and spread over baked crust. Bake for 20-25 minutes at 350o. Cut immediately when cool.

Makes ~ 5 dozen
Do not overcook, they will be too hard
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup shorting
- 1 cup molasses
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 2 Teasp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ginger
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cloves
Step 1: Cream together first four ingredients till fluffy
Step 2: Sift together dry ingredients; stir into molasses mixture.
Step 3: Form in small balls (walnut) and roll in granulated sugar, place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Step 4: Bake at 375o for 10 minutes.
Step 5: Cool slightly, remove from pan.
Mood Cookies

- 1 Box cake mix (what every flavor fits your mood)
- 1/2 c. Vegetable oil
- 2 eggs
- Nuts, chocolate chips, etc. (optional, measure for your mood)
Add oil, eggs, cake mix, and any optional ingredients to a bowl and mix well. Drop a spoonful of dough 2 inches apart on a cookies sheet. Bake at 350o for 8-10 minutes.
